Division II
Division II dancers have had a significant amount of ballet training and experience with pointe. Their ballet technique training is more advanced. Barre work is generally done en pointe for those who are ready. Center work is done on flat, but the emphasis of the class is to build strength eventually graduating to executing pointe work off the barre.
Division III
Division III is for our advanced dancers and is now split into two different tracts: classical and contempory. Barre work is done en pointe as is the majority of the center work. The technique is complex and challenging for even the most achieved dancer.
Classical: This tract focuses on classical technique training with additional work in classical partnering and variations.
Contemporary: This tract offers training in advanced ballet techniques along with a greater focus on contemporary movement/partnering and choreography.
Private Lessons
Ballet Forte NJ offers a schedule of private lessons. In this time, students have the opportunity to work one-on-one with an instructor to work on technique and corrections they have received in their classes. We also hold privates for non-Ballet Forte NJ students to aid them in auditions, tap, jazz, ballet, or general stage presence.
